Like so many of my generation, the iconic product that I identify most strongly with, is the Mac. January 5, 1984, the legendary Super Bowl ad announcing the arrival of the Mac was the first step on a journey of discovery that so many of us took.

This week on the show I am thrilled to welcome into the studio 2 old colleagues of mine who were around in those first days with me as we discovered the Mac and learned what it could do for us. As you will discover by listening to the show, those were heady times, the world was truly our oyster. We fully embraced the concept of thinking differently, and believed that the Mac could be a catalyst to change the world.

Ian Selbie and Kevin Jampole are my guests, and they share their memories of the early days of the Macintosh. I hope we capture and share some of the enthusiasm and excitement that surrounded the Mac in it's early days.

This week App thursday brings 2 new faces to Dotto Tech, actually one new face, Sean Kennedy, and one old friend, in Mike Vardy. John Biehler and Art factora round out the roster.

Some great Apps were put forward this week with a tie finally decided on, after much complaining (as usual) from Art.

We have a great show kicking off the new year. Dotto Tech.  regular Paul Demara is currently down at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, this is Paul's first visit to CES, and overwhelmed might be an understatement. Paul joins us to talk about his first experiences at the show. 

Christian Paul of Roam Mobility joins us to talk about the best ways to save money on mobility when traveling in the States. And Nelson Hudes fills us in on the latest news from VOIP provider Nettalk. 

Julian Sanders from London Drugs takes on WiFi issues and how to overcome them. 

We also are thrilled to announce the winner of App of The Year. It may be considered something of an upset, but David Hathaway comes through with this years favourite app, LastPass. 

Art Factora had put forward Songza, which was leading in the polls right to the last day, before a surge from LastPass put it in the lead for good!

The Canadian Red Cross put up a good showing as well, ultimately finishing 3rd.
